Job Vacancy- Field Operator

We are seeking a Field Operator to join our Bitumen Section at our refinery in Erbil. The role involves supporting daily bitumen operations and ensuring all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and according to refinery procedures.

Key Responsibilities
-Operate and monitor bitumen processing and transfer equipment
-Conduct routine field inspections and report any issues
-Assist in start-up, shutdown, and normal operational activities
-Follow HSE policies and refinery safety standards
-Coordinate with control room, maintenance, and supervision teams
-Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
-Record operational data and report to the supervisor

Required Skills & Abilities
-Basic knowledge of refinery or industrial operations
-Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures
-Ability to work in field conditions and shift schedules
-Good communication and teamwork skills
-Physically fit for field work

Computer & System Skills
-Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Ability to record operational data and prepare simple reports
-Familiarity with DCS, SCADA, or CMMS systems is a plus
-Willingness to learn company-specific operational systems

Academic Background
-Diploma or Certificate in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or
-Technical / Vocational training in oil & gas or industrial operations, or
-High School qualification with relevant refinery or industrial experience
